Bio
Dr. Laurence Parker is a professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy and he is the current chair of the department. He previously taught at Temple University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His areas of research and teaching interests are in social justice leadership and policy related to diversity and equity in K-12 education; and the application of critical race theory to higher education and K-12 schooling context. His main focus in his classes is to get graduate and undergraduate students to think about equitable and just ways to disrupt the normalization of failure for students in our schools and colleges.
